Speaking on the final day of a visit to Africa, the Prime Minister indicated that he needed to soon focus on creating jobs, tackling immigration and reforming the welfare system. Mr Cameron will today announce the terms of reference for a judicial-led inquiry into the phone hacking scandal. The inquiry, which will begin work within weeks, will focus on media ethics, and the relationship between the press, politicians and the police. Today I gave some of my Barbie collection a make-over...from top to bottom: "Tattoo Barbie", "Buddha Barbie", "Paper Bag Princess", "Breast Cancer Barbie", " Terrorist Barbie - happiness is a warm gun"..

I have decided to continue my "NZ Landscape" series again...am making the pix into brooches 3x4cm, glued onto rectangles of core-flute from real-estate signs. Yesterday I attended a spontaneous happening in Ponsonby @ "The Soho Hole" - a large derelict building site in the heart of the city. Inner city Auckland residents lack a beach, so they improvised. The graffiti reads "I wish this was a swimming pool" - someone's wish came true!

I found these two headless Buddha statues during the inorganic trash collection a few weeks ago. Decapitating the two Barbie dolls was a bizarre experience!! ........if only Barbie could find the Buddah within herself.......
